titans: Greek giant gods, means today anybody very powerful and famous

big wig: an important person, a titan

monotheism: one God

polytheism: many gods

animism: a belief that things like rivers, thunder, the sun, etc have have a spirit

*theos: Greek for god

reincarnation: being re-born
